이 전시는 얼굴을 통해 인간의 삶과 존재를 비추고자 한다. 얼굴은 감정과 기억, 시간이 스며든 자리이자 타인과 세계를 마주하는 경계로서, 우리는 그 안에서 타인의 삶을 읽고 자신의 모습을 돌아보게 된다.

임직순, 정현, 홍순모는 회화와 조각을 통해 각기 다른 조형 언어로 감정의 인상과 시간의 흔적, 내면의 깊이를 드러내며 인간에 대한 사유를 확장한다. 이때 얼굴은 단순한 형상을 넘어 이해의 창으로 기능하며, 서로의 얼굴을 마주하는 일은 곧 서로의 존재를 인식해가는 과정이 된다.

This exhibition reflects on human life and existence through the face. Faces function as sites suffused with emotions, memories, and time, as well as thresholds at which we encounter others and the world. Through them, we perceive the lives of others while looking back on ourselves.

In their painting and sculpture, Yim Jiksoon, Chung Hyun, and Hong Soonmo each developed a distinct visual language that reveals emotional resonances, traces of time, and the depth of the inner self, prompting us to contemplate the human condition. Faces are no longer mere forms but become windows of understanding; to look into another’s face is to come to know their presence.
