8회 개인전을 준비하며

얼굴과 상반신 그리고 전신 그리고 누드
어떻게 보면 다른 느낌의 작품으로 보일지 모르지만 그렇지 않다.
같은 맥락의 개념에서 항상 같은 철학으로 작업을 해왔다
그리고 그 작품들을 각자의 공간에서 발표를 해왔다.
이번 전시는 얼굴과 누드 드로잉으로 전시를 준비해본다.
편안한 일상들이 던져주는 언표들의 발화점을 억지가 아닌 자연스런 소통의 한가지 수단으로 느끼며 공감하며 작업을 하려 노력하였다.
어찌보면 본질적 사유의 공간에서 벗어나려 했으며 극히 이치에 맞는 자연스런 직관적 감각에 초점을 두었다고 말하는게 차라리 근접할것같다.
단지 자신과의 솔직함과 감정 그리고 탈사유의 범위에서 편안한 자신의 초성(超性)과 감성을 믿고 바라보길 바란다.

While preparing for the eighth solo exhibition
“With Colors and Dance” (Connection and Everyday Language)

Face, upper body, whole body, and nude. - Paintings of them seem to give out different impressions. However, they don’t.
I have always worked with the same philosophy in the concept of similar context and presented my paintings in each of spaces.
For this exhibition, I have prepared face and nude drawings.
I’ve made an effort to paint while feeling and connecting with the very beginnings of narrative given from comfortable daily life, not as something forced but as one of the means for natural communication.
In a way, I could say that I’ve tried to avoid the space of fundamental reasonings and concentrated on my logical and natural intuitive senses.
I hope that people can look into my paintings while trusting their natural brilliances and emotions in one’s own honesty, feeling, and the bounds of deviation from reasonings.
