작가의 따뜻한 시선에서 작품은 탄생된다.
가깝고도 먼 우리의 관계 속에서 빠르게 소비되는 이미지들에 온정을 불어넣는다.

소셜 네트워크 서비스(SNS)라는 자유로운 공간 안에서 우리는 얼마나 많은 이미지들을 생산하고 소비하는가?
가까운 지인은 물론, 얼굴 한 번 보지 못한 지구 반대편 인물의 삶도 사진 몇 장만으로 쉽게 엿볼 수 있다.
이러한 소통 방식으로 인해 우리는 무엇을 보느냐 보다 어떻게 보느냐가 더 중요해졌다.
그 과정에서 작가는 포용의 눈으로 세상을 바라보며 서로 간의 진정한 공감을 제안한다.

이번 전시<아우라: 가깝고도 먼 것>는 작가와 전시 참여자들이 대화를 주고받는 과정으로 이루어진다.
참여자는 자신의 SNS 속 이미지와 텍스트로 말을 건네고, 작가는 그들의 상황과 감정을 공감하고 해석하여 색으로 응답한다.
작가는 참여자들을 또 하나의 예술가라고 칭한다.
대화의 두 주체는 예술을 통해 각자의 삶 속 다채로운 '아우라’를 교류하며 이 과정은 특별한 장소(꽃꽃한 당신) 안에 전시된다.
이와 더불어 전시된 이미지들이 장소를 찾은 관람객들을 통해 어떠한 방식으로 소비되고 유희 되는지도 생각해볼 대목이다.
전시를 통해 작품은 전시장을 방문하는 사람들과 교류하면서 최종적으로 마무리된다.

Every single stroke by Jueun Kim contains the warm perspective to our lives.

She brings warmth into instant images which are quickly wasted in our modern society, above of all, the images in the complex relationships we have made.

How many images do we make and waste in the vast open-space of Social Networking Service?
You could easily get a glimpse of the lives of people whom you never seen with a few images on SNS, as if they are your close acquaintances.
Such communication and networking methods has entirely changed the perspective of our lives.
The question is not only what we see, but how we look and deal with it. Kim suggests true empathy and interaction to each other, while looking at the society with an inclusive eye.

This exhibition will be held in conversations between artist and exhibition participants.
Participants speak with their own images and text, and Kim responds with colours by interpreting their lives and emotions.
Kim calls the participants as another artists.
The two subjects of the conversation have exchanged each other's ‘Aura’, which is made by various beautiful experiences, and this whole process is displayed in a special space.
It is also important that makes you think about how the works are consumed and reproduced by visitors who capture the conversation.
Through the exhibition, the works will be completed by interacting with people visiting the place.
