삶은 끊임없이 흘러가지만, 그 안에는 잠시 머무르고 호흡하며 자신을 마주하는 순간들이 존재합니다. 선, 숨, 쉼 Zen, Breath, Rest는 진서용, 송현주, 신혜선 작가가 각자의 조형 언어를 통해 축적해 온 내면의 감각과 시간의 흔적을 따라가며, 생성과 소멸, 반복과 사유, 그리고 고요한 휴식의 의미를 되짚어 보는 전시입니다.

서로 다른 형식과 시선을 지니고 있지만, 반복되는 행위와 축적된 시간, 그리고 내면을 향한 고요한 응시라는 지점에서 만납니다. 선을 긋는 몸의 움직임, 새벽을 마주하는 숨결, 비워진 공간이 건네는 쉼의 감각은 서로 교차하며 하나의 리듬을 만들어냅니다.

이번 전시는 빠르게 흘러가는 일상 속에서 잠시 속도를 늦추고, 내면의 호흡에 귀 기울이며, 존재의 깊이를 조용히 마주하는 시간을 제안하며, 이 전시가 관람자에게 각자의 리듬으로 숨 쉬고 머무를 수 있는 고요한 여백이 되기를 바랍니다.


Life is in constant motion, yet within its flow there are moments to pause, breathe, and encounter oneself.

“Zen, Breath, Rest” exhibition brings together the works of Jin Seoyong, Song Hyunju, and Shin Hyesun, tracing the inner sensibilities and accumulated traces of time embedded in each artist’s distinctive visual language. Through their practices, the exhibition reflects on the meanings of creation and dissolution, repetition and contemplation, and the quiet experience of rest.

While each artist employs a unique form and perspective, their works converge through shared themes of repetitive gestures, the accumulation of time, and a quiet gaze directed inward. The body’s movement in drawing a line, the breath that greets the dawn, and the sense of repose offered by emptied space intersect to create a single, harmonious rhythm.

In the midst of everyday life that moves at an ever-accelerating pace, this exhibition invites viewers to slow down, listen to the rhythm of their own breath, and quietly encounter the depth of their own existence. It is our hope that this exhibition offers each visitor a tranquil space in which to breathe, pause, and simply be, at their own rhythm.
