위<표>는 본인이 평소에 대비된다고 여겨지는 것들의 목록인데 이것들을 결합하고 경계를 해체하여 조화롭게 만드는 것이 본인의 최종 목표라 할 수 있다. 처음 연구자가 시작한 것은 동양화와 서양화의 대립 내지는 결합이었으나, 작업이 진행되면서 다양한 대립 쌍들을 고려하게 되었다.
이렇게 해서 하나의 작품 속에 대비되는 요소의 경계를 해체하거나 융합하는 것이 본인의 목표이긴 하지만, 막상 작업을 진행하다 보면 여러 가지 요소가 하나의 화면에 담겨지기 마련이다.
대립 쌍 역시 연구자와 사람들 생각 속에 자리 잡고 있는 스테레오타입의 이미지인 것이다. 이들을 어떻게 경계를 모호하게 만들고 혼성하여 스테레오타입 이미지를 해체하느냐 하는 것이 작품제작 절차의 가장 중요한 문제라 할 것이다.

The <table 1> shows the list of opposite meanings which the author regards as usual.
The final goal of my work is harmonizing these concepts by means of union and integration. Confrontation or
integration of oriental and occidental paintings were studied at the outset but various couples of confrontation took part in my work as time goes by.
Although I aimed pulling down boundaries and integration of elements in a work, I cannot help putting various elements into one picture during the process of art job.
Confrontation pairs are also stereotype images that exist in people's minds. The most important thing in the process of making works is how to make the boundaries obscure, mix them, and break up the stereotype images.
