Jin-Yong Choi is a South Korean born artist based in NYC. He explores materials in sculptural form, interested in the futurism of materiality. He imagines the future where humans are extinct, and future life forms visit to the earth and excavate something as a fossil. By creating these surreal things with intriguing objects and materials he wants to create a unique experience, arousing desires and a heightened sense of materiality that can only be experienced in the real, and not mediated through digital technology.
