森羅萬象 삼라만상
옵스큐라(Obscura)는 윤두진의 『삼라만상 森羅萬象』 전시를 오는 9월 10일부터 9월 30일까지 개최한다. 윤두진은 신화적인 인물들을 통해 인간이 추구하는 명예, 권력, 부, 아름다움에 대한 이상과 욕망의 이중성을 드러내는 작업을 해왔다. 이번 13번째 개인전에서 그는 삼라만상 시리즈의 부조와 입체 작업 신작 40여점을 선보인다.

윤두진은 그동안 「Protecting Body 시리즈」(20210912e), 「가디언(Guardian) 시리즈」(2017), 「엘리시움(Elysium) 시리즈」(2020)를 통해 이상적인 신체를 가진 신격화된 인물들의 이야기를 작업해왔다. 그의 손에서 만들어진 인물들은 이상향의 최고봉인 엘리시움에 있는 신적인 존재로 나타난다. 하지만 부조의 화면에 군집한 인물들은 묘하게 명예와 권력 그리고 색에 사로 잡혀 있는듯하다. 이 모순적인 모습에서 작가는 인간이 가진 끝없는 욕망을 투영하고 단편화한다. 이번 『삼라만상』 전시에서는 그동안 윤두진이 진행해온 인간의 욕망을 투영한 신화적 이야기를 확장한 부조, 조각 작업을 선보인다.

전시 제목이면서 동시에 작품 제목이기도한 ‘삼라만상’은 우주에 있는 온갖 사물과 현상을 뜻한다. 이제껏 신화라는 테두리에서 설명되어 온 윤두진의 작업은 이제 현상계의 모든 이야기로 확장한다. 구체적이고 실제적으로 표현된 인체들 속에서 나타나는 무채색의 이야기는 숭고하고 순결하며 순수하다. 더불어 고독하고 정직하며 공허하다. 또한 이번 전시에서 이야기의 확장 외에 주목할 점은 바로 다각적 입체화이다. 입체적 날개, 투구형태의 관, 방패 등 부속 요소가 적극적으로 더해졌다. 이는 부조가 가진 화면의 규격에서 확장된 시야를 제공하고 조각의 입체성을 부각하고 확대하였다. 이번 옵스큐라에서의 전시는 화이트 큐브 속에서 익숙하지만 낯선 무채색 인물들의 삼라만상을 감상 할 수 있다. ■ 옵스큐라



Obscura has an exhibition of Dujin's Yoon < Samlamansang 森羅萬象 > from September 10th to September 30th 2021. He has worked to reveal the duality of desire and ideals for honor, power, wealth, and beauty that humans pursue through mythical characters. Dujin Yoon has been working on the stories of deified characters with ideal bodies through the ‘Protecting Body series’ (2013), ‘Guardian series’ (2017), and ‘Elysium series’ (2020). The figures created by his hands appear as divine beings in Elysium, the highest peak of the utopia. However, the people gathered on the relief screen seem strangely obsessed with honor, power, and sexuality. In this contradictory appearance, His projects and fragments the endless desires of humans. In this exhibition of < Samlamansang >, the relief and sculpture works that expand the mythical story reflecting the human desires he has been working on will be presented.

The title of the exhibition as well as the title of the work, ‘Samlamansang’ refers to all kinds of objects and phenomena in the universe. His work, which has been explained within the framework of myth, now extends to all stories of the phenomenal world. The stories of achromatic colors appearing in the concrete and practically expressed human bodies are sublime, pure, and pure. It is also lonely, honest, and empty. In addition to the expansion of the story in this exhibition, another thing to note is the multifaceted three-dimensionalization. Ancillary elements such as three-dimensional wings, a helmet-shaped tube, and a shield were actively added. This provides an expanded view from the standard of the screen of the relief, and emphasizes and enlarges the three-dimensionality of the sculpture.
